Nadja Drakoula studied Law, Journalism, Playwriting, and Screenwriting in Athens, Manchester, and New York. She holds a Law degree from the University of Athens and an LL.M. in European Business Law, European Regulations, and Intellectual Property from the University of Manchester, and was an I.K.Y. scholar in International Finance.
Nadja has extensive experience in theatre, television, and film production. across Greece and Europe, including collaborations with Antenna TV, FOSS Productions, TANWEER Productions, ANEMON Productions, Steficon, ARTE, Alpha TV, Cosmote History, ERT3, and SVT Sweden.
An acclaimed author, her novels Camping and Super Granola are included in school reading lists, her play The Little Rope/Το Σχοινάκι was staged by the National Theatre of Greece, and her latest novel Planet Tinos explores the legacy of the Ursuline Monastery School and Tinos folk culture; Super Granola is currently being developed as a feature family movie by “Need A Fixer” production company.
She has taught creative writing at Pierce College, Athens College, and the Benaki Museum, and has hosted a successful daily radio show on Best 92.6 FM, while contributing as a columnist to numerous magazines and newspapers. Nadja is the founder of the NGO Trelli Rodia, creating educational arts programs for youth, and currently works at the Hellenic Film and Audiovisual Center (EKKOMED), leading Cultural Diplomacy and Foreign Affairs initiatives. She speaks five languages fluently.
