Achilles Tsoutsis is an EU-qualified lawyer (Greece) and business consultant with extensive experience across international transactions, corporate mergers and acquisitions, financial incentives and state aid as well as dispute resolution and project finance.
He holds a bachelor in laws (LL.B) and a master in International Business Law (LL.M) from the University of Athens, an LL.M in International Economic Law from the Geneva Graduate Institute (IHEID), a degree in Finance from DEREE – The American College of Greece, and a diploma in Business Strategy from the Harvard Extension School. He has also completed specialized course seminars in economics and public policy at IELPO Barcelona and Humboldt University, as well as film direction and production at the Film School of Greece. He is a registered arbitrator at the Athens Chamber of Commerce and a certified mediator and fluent in English and French. He has also served as Secretary General of ELSA Athens and is currently a member of the board of the Rythmisis NGO Institute for AI & Policy.
His professional background includes key legal and consulting roles at the Central Bank of Greece, Quinn Emanuel (Paris), LALIVE (Geneva), and major corporate groups such as KAPPA Financial and ATESE & MILTECH Group (Greece), where he advised on cross-border transactions, corporate and compliance frameworks, and strategic and business growth consulting.
In parallel, Achilles is active in film and theatre direction. His creative portfolio includes writing, directing, and producing short films such as A 10 Minute Swim (2024), featured among others at the Drama and Athens International Film Festivals, as well as the Los Angeles Greek film festival, Blossom (2024), The Pause of Time (2022), and the theatre play Offelia (2025). He has also directed music videos, trailers for theatre plays and adverts, and has worked as production manager for several short films and visual media projects.
Currently, Achilles serves as Senior Legal and Business Counsel at EKKOMED, the Hellenic Film & Audiovisual Center, where he specializes in film and audiovisual financing, state aid frameworks, intellectual property, and legislative and policy monitoring & compliance. He advises on cash rebate schemes, co-productions and regulatory initiatives.
