Three film stars — Emma Stone, Jesse Plemons, and Willem Dafoe — appear in three different stories, portraying nine different characters: a man tries to escape the predetermined path of his life, a police officer questions his wife’s behavior after she returns from a drowning incident, and a woman searches for an extraordinary person who is prophesied to become a famous spiritual guide. The film had its post-production in Greece and marked a return to the familiar weird spirit of the Lanthimean universe.
