The Hellenic Film and Audiovisual Center (EKKOMEΔ), within the framework of the 2026 Extroversion Program and its AV Fusion strategy, further strengthened its presence in May across major national and international initiatives, reaffirming its role as a catalytic organization driving the convergence of audiovisual production, music, technology, and creative innovation.
A central pillar of this approach is the AV Fusion strategy, implemented through EKKOMEΔ’s Creative Hub for Innovation & Technology. AV Fusion connects creators, technologies, and sectors, fostering collaboration across audiovisual production, the music industry, video games, XR/VR applications, artificial intelligence, photography, and immersive experiences. Through this strategy, EKKOMEΔ is shaping a unified field of convergence between audiovisual production, innovation, and international outreach for the country’s creative industries.
New Tech Forum 2026 – Technological and Cultural Dimensions
As part of its monthly activities EKKOMEΔ participated in the New Tech Forum 2026, an event bringing together stakeholders from Greece and abroad to explore emerging technologies and their real-world applications.
This year’s edition focused on Intelligent Networks and Digital Twins, highlighting the role of technologies such as Private 5G, Artificial Intelligence, XR, and Metaverse environments across sectors including smart cities, tourism, industry, and defense.
The forum also carried a strong international dimension, featuring speakers such as Jeff Melanson from Unity, and was delivered in collaboration with organizations including the Metaverse Standards Forum and Techritory, reinforcing Greece’s position as an active hub in the global innovation landscape.


Venice Biennale – Greece in International Artistic Dialogue
EKKOMEΔ supported Greece’s participation in the Venice Biennale, in the visual arts section, with the work “Escape Room” by artist Andreas Angelidakis.
This participation forms part of a broader strategy to strengthen the international presence of contemporary Greek art through works that engage with notions of experience, immersion, and digital storytelling, bridging artistic practice with new forms of spatial and cognitive perception.


Athens Music Week – Connecting Music and the Creative Economy
At Athens Music Week, EKKOMEΔ actively supported and participated in discussions strengthening the role of the music industry as a key pillar of the creative economy.
The organization focused on connecting music with audiovisual production, technology, and new content formats, highlighting music as a crucial link between different creative sectors.
Reworks Agora – Music as a Driver of Development
Reworks Agora was supported by EKKOMEΔ and highlighted the importance of music as an integral component of the creative industries and a shared foundation for collaboration with film, animation, gaming, and artificial intelligence.
In his address, EKKOMEΔ CEO Leonidas Christopoulos emphasized that music is not only an artistic expression but also an economic and development driver with growing international momentum. Within this context, Reworks Agora emerged as a key platform for exchange and networking, fully aligned with the AV Fusion strategy implemented through the Creative Hub.

Panathenea 2026 – Urban Innovation and the Creative Ecosystem
Finally, EKKOMEΔ supported Panathenea 2026, an initiative that brings together urban culture, technology, culture, and entrepreneurship, strengthening the innovation ecosystem and contemporary forms of creative expression.
