The Hellenic Film and Audiovisual Center (EKKOMEΔ) proudly announce the participation of the Greek National Delegation at Gamescom 2026, the world’s largest and most prestigious exhibition for digital entertainment and video games, taking place from August 26 to 30, 2026, in Cologne, Germany.
Following the successful debut of the unified National Delegation in 2025, this year’s participation is held under the auspices of the Hellenic Republic, which actively supports the growing video game industry, recognizing its importance in fostering innovation and promoting Greece’s cultural outreach on the global stage.
For a second consecutive year, the initiative is organized jointly by EKKOMEΔ, serving as the lead coordinator responsible for the planning and implementation of the Delegation, and Enterprise Greece, the national agency for investment promotion and export development.
PPC (Public Power Corporation) is the Major Sponsor of the National Delegation to Gamescom 2026. Through its investment in next-generation fiber-optic networks and its PPC Fiber services, the company delivers ultra-fast download and upload speeds, reliable connectivity, and low latency—key factors for an optimal online gaming experience, content creation, and digital entertainment.
Endeavor serves as the Delegation Strategic Partner, supporting some of the most promising entrepreneurs in Greece and abroad while strengthening the international presence of Greek entrepreneurship. AEGEAN supports the National Delegation as the Official Air Carrier Sponsor, while the Hellenic Federation of Hellenic Information ICT Enterprises (SEPE) contributes its support by connecting the technology sector with the production of digital content.
The National Delegation, supported by the Game Developers Association Greece (GDA) and the IGDA Chapter of Greece, will host nine Greek indie studios showcasing both completed and in-development digital games. The selected projects highlight the breadth and creativity of the Greek video games ecosystem, spanning action RPGs, narrative adventures, and innovative tools and platforms for developers and players alike.
The participating studios were selected through an open call and a review process conducted by industry professionals.

In addition, companies and indie studios from across Greece’s wider game development ecosystem will be present in Gamescom Business Area, creating new opportunities for networking, partnerships, and international collaboration.
A dedicated game station featuring all projects of the National Delegation will be fully accessible to visitors with disabilities. This initiative reflects EKKOMEΔ’s broader commitment to accessibility, inclusion, and equal participation across the creative industries.
