Following the announcement of the Promotion and Distribution Programme, the need arose to clarify specific issues, as well as to incorporate them into the Programme’s implementation framework.
The clarifications incorporated are as follows:
Premiere-type event
It is clarified that the term “premiere-type event” refers to a special public screening of the film attended by members of its creative team (e.g. director, actors, producers or other key contributors), which may be accompanied by elements typically associated with a film premiere, such as an introductory presentation, greetings, or a discussion with the audience (Q&A) following the screening.
Eligible expenses
The cost of travel and accommodation for up to two (2) members of the film’s creative team participating in premiere-type events is added.
If a funding decision has already been issued by EKKOMED, it may be amended ex officio in order to align with the provisions of the present Programme.
Disbursement of Funds and Ex-post Audit Procedure
In the first paragraph, after the second sentence on page 7 of the Programme, the following is added:
“The beneficiary undertakes the obligation to include the amount of financial support in the settlement statement submitted to EKKOMED and to deduct this amount from the distribution expenses.”
Furthermore, at the end of the third paragraph, the following is added:
“It is clarified that no ex-post audit of expenses is conducted for the 4th slate instalment, as it constitutes a bonus to the beneficiary.”
Addition to transitional provisions
Notwithstanding the deadlines set under this Programme per Action for the submission of applications, during the first three (3) months of its implementation, even late applications will be considered admissible, provided that the delay is due to necessary actions that each entity had to undertake in order to comply with the new requirements. In such cases, the evaluation and approval process will be carried out as swiftly as possible.
