The once-mighty King Saul falls victim to his own pride, as an outcast shepherd boy, David is anointed as the second king. One of the largest television productions ever hosted in Greece, it tells the well-known story of the Old Testament, locating the biblical sites in the Peloponnese and Attica. Greek studio facilities were used for the production, while for the needs of the second season, an entire biblical village was built in Paiania.
