Stavroula Genomymaki serves as the Head of International Investments and Sustainable Film Development of Hellenic Film Commission at the Hellenic Film and Audiovisual Center (HFAC). Since joining Greek Film Centre in 2003, she has held a series of progressively senior roles, including Sales and Promotion Executive at Hellas Film, National Representative at European Film Promotion, and Acting Director of the Hellenic Film Commission, a role she assumed in October 2023.

With a strong background in international relations and sustainable practices in the audiovisual sector, Stavroula plays a key role in forging strategic partnerships between the film industry and local communities. She actively negotiates with stakeholders, promotes regional resources and talent, and contributes to generating significant economic impact for Greece through audiovisual production.

Her responsibilities also include the promotion, training, and implementation of Sustainable Development Goals within the Greek film industry, reflecting her commitment to environmentally and socially responsible filmmaking.

While working at the Greek Film Centre she has organised training programs for film professionals and worked for the empowerment and mentorship of young greek filmakers while promoting their work in the most prestigious film festivals and markets. She participated in pitching forums, industry meetings and as a jury members in international film festivals. Overall, she has worked in odrer to share the richness of Greek films in a wider audience, to showcase Greek movies and preserve the film heritage of Greece.

Originally trained as a media researcher, Stavroula has worked with several key institutions including the Hellenic Audiovisual Institute (focusing on European and international programs), Media Desk Hellas, the European Children’s Television Centre, the Greek Film Archive.  She has also collaborated with the University of West Attica as a tutor.

Stavroula holds a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Mass Media & Communication, as well as a Diploma in Finance and Cultural Management.
