EKKOMED & NETFLIX: 50 emerging audiovisual professionals selected for the training programme
The selection process for the first joint training programme by EKKOMED and Netflix has been successfully completed. The programme is being implemented as part of the collaboration between the two organisations to strengthen the skills and professional prospects of professionals working in Greece’s audiovisual creative sector.
Following the completion of the application assessment process, fifty emerging audiovisual professionals have been selected and will receive free, one-year access to Netflix’s Digital Training Platform.
The fifty participants — screenwriters and directors — will have the opportunity to take part in an extensive programme of seminar-based training and make use of specialised educational materials, video tutorials, masterclasses and content development methodologies created by established Netflix showrunners, screenwriters, directors and creative executives.
The strong response to the call by EKKOMED and Netflix highlighted the significant interest and momentum surrounding training and professional development opportunities for the new generation of creators in Greece. The selection process involved an assessment of the applicants’ CVs and portfolios by established professionals from the Greek audiovisual sector.
This initiative marks another important step in the collaboration between EKKOMED and Netflix, with the aim of transferring international expertise, enhancing professional skills and creating new opportunities for Greek creators.
At the same time, the initiative forms part of the strategy of the Ministry of Culture, systematically implemented by EKKOMED, to strengthen the international outlook, competitiveness and global presence of Greek audiovisual production.
By investing in people, knowledge and creativity, EKKOMED and Netflix are contributing to the empowerment of the Greek audiovisual ecosystem and to its connection with the evolving demands and international opportunities of the global market.
