EKKOMED and Netflix are taking the next step in their collaboration by launching their first joint educational program for Greek creators. Following the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the two organizations, this initiative aims to strengthen professional skills and foster new opportunities for the Greek creative industry through access to international expertise, contemporary educational practices, and Netflix’s Digital Training Platform.

The program will provide 50 Greek professional creators (25 screenwriters and 25 directors) with one year of free access to the Platform, which includes exclusive video tutorials, masterclasses, development methodologies, and specialized educational resources created by Netflix showrunners, screenwriters, directors, and creative executives.

Participants will be selected following an evaluation of their CVs and portfolios. Applications may be submitted exclusively during the period from May 28, 2026, to June 10, 2026.

Applications will be evaluated by distinguished professionals from the audiovisual sector, including: Dionysis Samiotis, Fenia Kosovitsa, Stelios Kotionis, Tonia Sotiropoulou, Katerina Bei, Vardis Marinakis, Vasilis Kekatos, and others.

The collaboration between EKKOMED and Netflix aims to provide meaningful training opportunities and enhance the skills of professionals working in the Greek film and audiovisual ecosystem. It forms part of the broader strategy of the Ministry of Culture — systematically implemented by EKKOMED — to strengthen the international outlook and competitiveness of Greek audiovisual production.

Through knowledge transfer, networking opportunities, and alignment with the demands of the global market, the initiative invests in Greece’s creative talent and holistically strengthens the entire creative ecosystem: from education and content development to sustainable production.
