EKKOMED Announces Greece’s National Delegation to Gamescom 2026 – Open Call for Video Developers & Exhibitors

The Hellenic Film & Audiovisual Center (EKKOMED) proudly announces the participation of the Greek National Delegation at Gamescom 2026, the world’s largest international exhibition for digital entertainment and video games, which will take place from August 26 to 30, 2026, in Cologne, Germany.

For the second consecutive year, and following the successful presence at Gamescom 2025—where Greece participated for the first time as a Unified National Delegation—ΕΚΚΟΜΕΔ will once again undertake the central coordination of the Delegation, co-organized with Enterprise Greece.

With the support of the Greek State, which recognizes the importance of the video games industry in promoting innovation and cultural extroversion, Greece will make a dynamic return with an even more impressive participation, featuring a pavilion twice the size of last year’s and in a prime location within the exhibition space.

In this context, we invite Video Games Developers and Exhibitors from Greece to submit their applications to participate in the Greek National Delegation for 2026.

Applications will be evaluated by an independent jury consisting of industry professionals, which will be selected in collaboration with selected with the Game Developers Association of Greece (GDA Greece), the iGDA Chapter of Greece, and EKKOMED.

The games selected to represent Greece at Gamescom 2026 will be hosted at the National Delegation’s pavilion. Participating teams will receive 1–3 complimentary exhibitor passes, as well as access codes to the MeetToMatch platform to facilitate professional meetings in the Business Area during the first three days of the exhibition.

Participation also includes promotion of the games through the official Gamescom website, inclusion in the Steam event, presentation of the game and studio, as well as potential coverage by international and national media. Additionally, selected games will be featured in the National Delegation’s showreel and digital catalogue, offering teams a valuable opportunity for exposure and to strengthen their international presence in the digital games sector.
