The Hellenic Film and Audiovisual Center – EKKOMED announces that, in view of the transitional implementation of Action 2, “Support for Cinemas Screening Greek Films”, in 2026, the minimum threshold of eligible paid admissions per film has been reduced from two hundred (200) to one hundred and fifty (150).
This adjustment was deemed appropriate in order to take into account the specific conditions of the cinema market during the initial implementation period of the Action, broaden access for participating cinemas and support its effective implementation.
The revised threshold applies exclusively to the 2026 transitional period and covers paid admissions to Greek films recorded between 1 January and 31 August 2026. The amendment applies uniformly to all applications concerning this period, while all other terms and eligibility requirements of the Action remain unchanged and in full effect.
Please note that the application period closes on 30 September 2026.
